Triptych, 12"w x 36"h x 1.5"d each panel
Oil with palette knife and rusted hinges on wrapped canvas
Sides are painted black

The original idea, which became the first of the panels, came from a weathered post in the old warehouse district in Dallas, Texas, which had been painted over many times.  I decided it needed two more panels and, once those were complete, I felt it needed the addition of some metal objects.   I chose some old metal hinges, and I like the addition which makes the piece more sculptural .  I have been working on my What Remains Series for a couple of years now, and my friends know to bring me rusted metal pieces. The title comes from the use of the three primary colors in the small vertical elongated shapes on each panel.
