Oil with palette knife on wrapped canvas

I keep trying to push the limits of what I can do with the palette knife, and I created this new stroke which I call my "swizzle stroke" while listening to jazz albums as I paint. I got so intrigued with this rhythmic stroke that I started a whole new series based on Jazz and the Blues. I first do a lot of under painting and, while the paint is wet, I drag the knife loaded with more paint in a swizzle motion (side to side and down) adding more paint and picking up the underlayers at the same time. The pigment is very thick and different pressure on the palette knife controls whether the wet pigment will be slubbed over or picked up to merge with the top layer.

My Jazz Series has sold very well. I have painted 45 originals and there are only 8 pieces available at the moment.  I have listed quite a few below that have been sold so that you can see the different rhythms, textures and colors that I have created.  There will be more coming soon.
